We are having an impact: the government has already begun removing links to its ‘Glacier Park glaciers disappearing’ sites

In the fall of 2015 I offered a bet of $5,000 if the glaciers at Glacier National Park disappear by 2030 (as predicted in all GNP signage, pamphlets, films and publications). See here. As of yet, no one has taken me up on my bet.

The Park’s glaciers were melting rapidly throughout the 1990s, as the catastrophic-manmade-global-warming-by-CO2 movement was riding high. Bills were introduced in Congress for “cap and trade” programs, carbon taxes and other reforms.

The National Park Service, and the U.S. Geological Survey published websites showing photos of the Park’s glaciers taken in prior decades next to more recent photos of the same glaciers. This ‘repeat photography’ showed massive decreases in the size of the GNP glaciers.

(I have often pointed out that the government’s photos from prior decades tended to not specify calendar dates. Because glaciers tend to build up in winter and then melt all summer long, the specificity of calendar dates is quite important.)

On January 8 of this year, I posted a prediction that the government would soon alter its GNP-glaciers-gone-by-2030 claims. See here. I asked, “What is the government going to do as 2030 approaches and it becomes clear that their preposterous claims are untrue?”

“I have no doubt,” I wrote then, “that the government will begin modifying these claims by 2025, if not sooner.” I began saving screenshots of government websites which make the claim that manmade-global-warming will melt the GNP glaciers by 2030.

It turns out I didn’t need to wait very long at all. Today, on May 4, 2016, I started looking for the government’s ‘repeat photography’ sites.

IT APPEARS THEY HAVE DISAPPEARED.

Today when you google “repeat photography” and “Glacier National Park,” you are redirected to general-info USGS sites with pictures of hikers in the mountains.

Fortunately, I have screenshots of the prior government projections.

Perhaps the webmasters at USGS are in the process of updating the ‘repeat photography’ sites.

Or perhaps Lysander Spooner University is already having an impact.

SIDE NOTE:

One can still find remnants of the government’s claims on some of its sites. For example, the USGS published a detailed numerical chart (see here) with data columns showing extensive melting between 1966 and 2005. The chart contains an astounding claim: “This table reflects area measurements analyzed from aerial photographs taken in 1966 and 2005. More recent suitable aerial photography on a parkwide scale has not been acquired to update this table due to seasonal conditions and financial constraints for contracted flights.”

This claim is astounding because research money intended to produce evidence for global warming has been pouring out over the past decade.

“Financial constraints”? Why do I suspect the USGS has chosen not to seek funds for new aerial photography because such photography will show that GNP’s glaciers have GROWN SINCE 2005.

Never before in world history has an industry fallen under so much regulation as the current U.S. Medical Industry, an industry gorged on government money.

Yet medical mistakes are now the third leading cause of death in America. See here.

Only heart disease and cancer claim more lives. Indeed, “medical errors” in hospitals and other health care facilities are claiming 251,000 lives every year, more than respiratory disease, accidents, stroke and Alzheimer’s.

Note that firearm deaths are now fewer than 30,000 annually–and more than half of those are suicides.

Canadian citizen working in Nepal arrested by Nepalese authorities after criticizing Nepal’s government

Every government that has ever existed has ultimately come for all property, all money, all freedom, and to kill all who resist.

Governments often view criticism as treason or sedition, and claim that dissenting voices are trying to commit terrorism or overthrow the government.

Now a Canadian citizen with a work visa to Nepal has been arrested in Nepal for criticizing “the Nepal government on social media during unrest that followed the passing of Nepal’s constitution last year.”

The Canadian computer worker allegedly “denounced the recent arrest and detention of Kanak Mani Dixit, a prominent journalist and civil rights activist.” See here.

Another ‘firefighter’ charged with setting fires he helped extinguish

Over the years, countless government firefighters have been found to have started the fires they ‘heroically’ help extinguish.

Hundreds if not thousands of deadly arsons have been secretly set by government firefighters. This is true of home arsons as well as forest fires.

It may even be that a sizeable percentage of all arsons are committed by people in government employment as firefighters, or at least employed as voluntary firefighters working under government auspices.

Socialist Bernie Sanders Donates Almost Nothing to Charity: He challenges ‘the Fundamental Concepts on Which Charities are Based”!

This Washington Post story exposed the fact that Bernie Sanders–unlike Hillary Clinton and most other major-party candidates for President over several decades–has refused to disclose his most recent income tax returns (or much tax info at all).

This isn’t much of a story. Sanders is under no obligation to publicize his income tax information.

But buried in the story is the fact that Sanders–an avowed socialist who claims to sympathize with the poor–donates almost nothing to charity. (Sanders makes hundreds of thousands of dollars annually.)

The publication’s scathing article notes that Sanders had dismissed the idea of charities in his early days as mayor — and that view was confirmed in his 1995 tax return, which showed Sanders donated just 1 percent of his income ($1,369) to charity. During a United Way event in 1981, Sanders told the crowd: “I don’t believe in charities,” and questioned “the fundamental concepts on which charities are based.”

Sanders doesn’t believe in charity because he believes the government should decide and distribute all charity. Sanders doesn’t believe in returning or keeping any money in the private sector. Instead of helping people with their own resources, socialists seek to violently compel others to ‘help the needy.’

Obamacare impoverishing millions

The government’s 2016 projections for Obamacare enrollees were off by 24 million people.

The public has balked at sky-high premiums and deductables, while insurers have lost BILLIONS.

Now the insurance companies are saying they will need to spike premiums in 2017.

For example, in Virginia, a state that reports early, nine insurers returning to the HealthCare.gov marketplace are seeking average premium increases that range from 9.4 percent to 37.1 percent. Those initial estimates filed with the state may change.

Turkey’s President Pursues Thousands for Insulting Government

Every government in history ultimately came to jail or kill all resistors and critics as ‘traitors’ and promoters of ‘sedition.’

English history is filled with persecution and even hangings of people who criticized government. (And Britain has historically been ‘liberal’ compared to other countries.)

Now Turkey’s President Erdogan is pursuing some 2,000 CASES against journalists, celebrities and even comedians and teenagers who criticized him. See here.

Secretary of State Kerry–Part of an Administration that Lectures Americans Not to Squirrel Money away in Off-shore Accounts–Has hidden MILLIONS in Off-shore Accounts

President Obama frequently lashes out at U.S. companies that seek to escape America’s high tax burden by headquartering overseas. Last week, after the release of the “Panama Papers” which show that world leaders who impose high taxes on their own subjects are hiding their own riches in off-shore low- (or no-) tax accounts, Obama lashed out at people who seek to get around high tax rates by doing the same.

Now it seems that one of Washington’s wealthiest government officials–Secretary of State John Kerry (who is married to an heiress to the Heinze Ketchup empire)–has hidden MILLIONS in off-shore, low- or no-tax, secret, investment accounts. See here!

(BTW Kerry was previously caught docking and registering his multi-million-dollar yacht at a wharf in lower-tax Rhode Island instead of his nearby home state of (high-tax) Massachusetts in order to avoid hundreds of thousands of dollars in taxes.)
