Americans are fleeing big cities by the thousands

America’s most socialist cities have been losing residents for years, as people flee life-crushing regulations, policing and taxation.

But 2020 has seen this mass exodus increase significantly.

Chicago’s change-of-address postal notices more than doubled over last year’s for the period from February 1 to August 1; New York City’s are up 490%; San Francisco’s up 180%; Los Angeles’s up 96%; Washington D.C.’s up 160%; Houston’s up 60%; and Philadelphia’s up 60%.

Maryland voter ARRESTED for trying to vote without a mask

INTIMIDATION OF ANTIGOVERNMENT VOTERS

It is universally recognized that there are political differences between maskers and anti-maskers. Those who won’t wear masks are known to be more suspicious of government.

Now a Maryland man named Daniel Swain has actually been arrested for going to vote at a polling station and refusing to wear a mask.

California’s socialist power utility appears to cause another major wildfire

California’s power grid is the most socialist in the U.S. Indeed the high-tax, heavy-regulating State government imposes more controls on energy than exists in most places on earth.

California has gone all in on climate change doomsday hysteria. The State’s powermad government has actually banned internal-combustion cars by 2030 under the mistaken belief that oil and gasoline are the source of catastrophic global warming. (Note that unadjusted data show little or no U.S. warming over the past century.)

California’s regulations of energy suppliers are so strict that just a couple large companies–PG&E and Southern California Edison–have been given monopolies over vast sections of the state. In 2018, PG&E’s poorly-maintained power lines sparked the the Camp Fire, the deadliest and most destructive wildfire in state history, and the most expensive natural disaster in the world in 2018 in terms of insured losses.

The Camp Fire caused at least 85 civilian fatalities, and led PG&E to declare bankruptcy after numerous lawsuits. Yet the California State government continues to grant PG&E its monopoly. In recent months, the government-supported company has simply shut off power to millions of Californians with little warning–leaving many families without heat and other necessities and endangering many Californians who are dependent on medical devices.

Now ANOTHER fire has been sparked by power transmission lines. A hundred thousand Californians have fled the new fire. It is suspected that ANOTHER utility, Southern California Edison,

Mark Steyn: “Risk Averse Societies are Societies in Decline”

The great conservative intellectual Mark Steyn was the special guest of the Institute of Public Affairs on October 14, 2020. Steyn appeared via Zoom at the Australian event, due to governmental restrictions on gatherings and travel imposed in wake of the global covid-19 panic.

Steyn gave a grim description regarding the prospects of survival for western civilization, given the widespread submission by citizens under near-total-government control during the panic.

Essentially, modern western governments are now dictating whether modern Americans, Australians and Europeans may leave their homes and under what conditions.

“A risk averse society is a society in decline,” said the noted speaker and writer.

“When you’re young you are fearless.” Steyn gave the example of a 7-year-old boy who climbs a tree repeatedly despite falling to the ground.

“When you’re a 77 year old boy you approach the tree more cautiously.”

It is “not a good sign civilizationally speaking” that so many citizens are now so risk averse that they can’t muster any resistance to government restrictions.

“In Europe,” said Steyn, “they’ve created a Faustian “perfect present tense” in which citizens don’t dare resist the state for fear of facing a different, unpredictable reality.

Another U.S. Postal Worker Arrested for Stealing Vote Ballots

U.S. Postal workers overwhelmingly support bigger government, higher taxes, and more regulations. During the 2016 election, US Postal officials were caught illegally rewarding employees who campaigned for Hillary Clinton with paid time off and other benefits.

Now, during the covid-19 panic, the U.S. Postal Service has taken over delivery of election ballots for every U.S. voter.

Already hundreds of election ballots have gone missing or stolen.

Now, ABC News reports that another U.S. Postal Service carrier is accused of stealing a Miami-Dade County mail-in ballot, 10 gift cards and four prepaid debit cards earlier this month.

“The mail-in ballot had been sent to a resident by the Miami-Dade Supervisor of Elections Office on Oct. 6, the complaint said.” The accused the carrier, Crystal Nicole Myrie, allegedly stole the election mail along with other packages. Her personal vehicle was filled with stolen mail, including numerous political flyers.

The U.S. government used control over the mail to manipulate elections from the beginning

BREAKING: Another U.S. Postal worker has been caught destroying more election ballots.

Last week, U.S. Postal workers in Pennsylvania and New Jersey were caught destroying and misdirecting U.S. mail–including election ballots. Now another USPS deliveryman has been arrested for trying to destroy more ballots, in Kentucky.

“A construction worker found about 112 unopened ballots and two political flyers abandoned in Jefferson County,” according to Newsweek.

The elections of 2020 will be like no others in history, with the USPS controlling delivery of ballots. This unprecedented change is alleged to be in response to the Covid-19 “pandemic,” but almost no expert views in-person voting as dangerous in any way.

U.S. Postal “workers” are notoriously biased in favor of big government, high taxes, and the Democratic Party. In 2016 the USPS actually gave time off and other benefits to postal workers who campaigned for Hillary Clinton.

The USPS enjoys every conceivable advantage in the marketplace, yet loses billions annually. Its “workers” are grossly overpaid, and thousands of Americans apply for every job opening in the “Service.”

The great economist Murray Rothbard, in his book Conceived in Liberty, recounted how pro-government forces (Federalists) used their control over the mails to manipulate the outcome of America’s earliest elections, including the ratifications of the Constitution itself:

This vulnerability [of anti-Federalists being generally more rural and scattered than Federalists, who were mostly urban] was viciously exploited by the Federalists, who used their control of the expensive U.S. postal monopoly to delay greatly the mainly Antifederal newspapers as well as letters to and from leading Antifederalists. The postmasters were mainly Federalists: Postmaster General Ebenezer Hazard was a Federalist, and the New York Postmaster Sebastian Bauman was a close friend of Hamilton. And the Federalist Pennsylvania Postmaster openly refused to mail an important address by the Antifederalists at the Pennsylvania convention. Thus, while letters between nationalists of Virginia and New York regularly took six to fourteen days to arrive, mail between Antifederalist leaders in the two states often took six to ten weeks to get through. The handful of Antifederalist papers often failed to arrive at all, particularly in New England, New York, and Pennsylvania, and those that did come through had particular items cut out by the postal authorities.2 Even George Washington was outraged at the wholesale blocking of Antifederalist mail and was later to fire Ebenezer Hazard for taking the trouble to abandon stagecoaches in delivering the mail and returning to the far more inefficient method of post-riders during this period.

More U.S. Postal workers caught destroying, hiding mail–including election ballots

CNN reports that more U.S. Postal Workers have been caught destroying, trashing or hiding mail they were paid (very highly) to deliver.

Just days ago a citizen found trash bags filled with undelivered mail sitting on a curb near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania awaiting trash pickup.

And “Last week, the Justice Department charged a mail carrier in New Jersey for dumping mail.” 26-year-old Nicholas Beauchene was arrested and charged with one count of delay of mail and one of obstruction of mail.”

“The mail in the North Arlington dumpster contained 98 general election ballots; mail found in the West Orange dumpster had one general election ballot. All of the mail, according to the DOJ, was eventually delivered.
Howard Dinger, a North Arlington resident, told CNN he found the mail sitting in a North Arlington dumpster, wrapped with rubber bands on October 2. He said he discovered it while throwing out his own trash and immediately called police.”

LA Times falsely claims “2020 California fires are the worst ever. Again.” But the 2020 fires aren’t even close to those of yesteryear..

In another climate hysteria propaganda piece masquerading as a news story, the LA Times proclaimed on Sept. 15 that the wildfires of 2020 are the largest in the state’s history.

“The last 10 years have shattered records. 2020 tops them all.” The Times article is filled with what seem to be authoritative graphs, data and charts. But much of the data is easily contested. For example, the Times‘ temperature history chart consists of adjusted temps rather than original temp measurements.

In reality, the 2020 wildfires aren’t even close to the biggest in history. Data analyst Tony Heller shows in this video that the fires of 2020 have burnt less than 1/3 the acreage of wildfires in the 1930s.

NASA satellite data–gathered for three decades–show that global wildfires are significantly fewer today than 25 years ago. And deaths and casualties from 2020 fires are way below those from yesteryear. And there is no correlation whatsoever between CO2 levels in the atmosphere and wildfires.

Climate doomsdayists present their claims as undeniable. Yet they can’t answer basic questions about their science claims.

Government promoters of catastrophic global warming by carbon dioxide claims promote their claims as settled and undeniable.

Yet when cross-examined or even pressed to explain their always-failing models and predictions, these promoters are often revealed as charlatans and showmen.

Here Australian congressman Malcolm Roberts asks basic questions of Senator Corman. Roberts asked Corman to explain why CSIRO (the Australian Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation) relies on discredited scientific papers and unvalidated models as the basis for its advice to government on climate policy.

The Prime Minister’s representative answered in pompous generalities and glowing pronouncements that CSIRO’s climate claims were well proved.

According to Malcolm Roberts, “The CSIRO climate . . . position ultimately relies on unvalidated and erroneous computer models that are not suitable as a basis for policy. In implying, falsely, that they have confidence in the models yet have never assigned a quantitatively calculated confidence level, CSIRO has misled” the people of Australia.”

California has the most government-controlled electrical grid in the U.S. It is also the most dangerous, unpredictable, and expensive.

California’s government regulates energy more than any other state. This regulation is now causing massive blackouts, suffering, poverty and death.

“California officials endlessly promote this state as “leading the world in the fight against climate change.” Yet as of this writing, many Californians are in their fourth night of energy blackouts.”

Like Venezuela, the Golden State enjoys some of the earth’s most plentiful oil and gas resources. But also like Venezuela, the California government seeks to totally control energy extraction and production.

California’s overregulation has yielded a landscape with just one major electrical provider: Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E). PG&E’s badly-maintained powergrid was responsible for sparking wildfires which killed several people and destroyed hundreds of millions of dollars of property over the past several years.

PG&E filed for bankruptcy in January 2019 under the weight of tens of billions of dollars in liabilities from the deadly wildfires sparked by its equipment in 2017 and 2018, including the November 2018 Camp Fire, the state’s deadliest to date.
