Join us for Citizen Glaciology, September 13th, 2019 at Glacier National Park!

Join Lysander Spooner University on our 5th annual Citizen Glaciology conference/hike/festival in East Glacier, Montana. We will again meet in the lobby of the beautiful East Glacier Lodge (also known as the Glacier Park Resort) September 13, 8:00 to 9:00 a.m.ish.

Depending on numbers, we hope to have several groups hike into glacier areas of Glacier National Park and surrounding areas and photograph the glaciers at their lowest point of the year.

This will be a great opportunity to meet fun people and exchange ideas and information about government claims, the state of the environment, and life.

Glaciers in Glacier National Park generally grow for about 9 months and melt for 3 months. It is only at summer’s end that one can assess whether the glaciers are growing or shrinking.

Lysander Spooner University is developing a photo archive of glaciers taken at similar locations and dates. There are several glaciers we have never seen as they are located many miles into rugged terrain. WE NEED STRONG HIKERS!

Also, please bring your passport if you have one, as there are several trails that can only be accessed from the Canadian side.

Puerto Rico continues descent into socialist misery

Puerto Ricans enjoy many benefits from being associated with the United States. Puerto Rico’s residents are U.S. citizens and may freely move to the U.S. mainland. For years, the most productive Puerto Ricans have done so, leaving hundreds of thousands of nonworkers to pay the Island’s exorbitant tax rates.

The Island’s remaining voters have voted so constantly for pro-government, socialist politicians that the Island is now mired in hopeless desperation and misery.

While U.S. GDP has generally grown by two or three percentage points over the past two years, Puerto Rico’s per-capita GDP has actually gone down.

Now, after weeks of mass protests in the streets, socialist governor Ricardo Rossello has announced his resignation.

“Mainstream” “news” continues to plunge in readership

More readers are reading more information than ever before; and more wealthy advertisers are seeking places to advertise. But increasingly, people aren’t reading “legacy” newspapers, and advertisers (knowing fewer Americans are reading mainstream news) are spending their ad dollars elsewhere.

Join Lysander Spooner University at West Yellowstone, Montana on Aug. 9, 2019, where Dr. Roger Roots will show that “mainstream” news has a single definition: government supported and government supporting. The designation certainly has little to do with readership or circulation, according to Roots, as so-called alternative sources now gather far more traffic than most legacy news institutions.

According to a new report by the Pew Research Center, newspaper ad revenue plunged 13% between 2017 and 2018. Circulation is now down to levels last seen in the early 1940s (although U.S. reading-age population has essentially tripled). Mainstream news jobs have decreased by 1/4 in just 10 years even though major government-supporting universities are churning out more journalism degrees than ever.

According to the Pew study, digital ad spending goes overwhelmingly to just two websites, Google and Facebook. And as both Google and Facebook are fast becoming identified with the type of pro-government content found in ‘mainstream’ sources, viewers and readers are likely to look farther afield for reliable news and information.

U.S. Senate Testimony: Google probably swayed 2.6 to 10 million voters to vote more pro-government in 2016

This should have been front page news worldwide, but it received almost no coverage.

Last week, during a hearing on Google censorship, a prominent psychology professor named Dr. Robert Epstein testified before the U.S. Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on the Constitution that Google’s search engine is shifting millions of votes toward the most pro-government political candidates (i.e., the Democrats).

Note that Dr. Epstein is a committed Democrat himself.

Google claims that its algorithms are developed to track people’s searches and then to list the most-demanded pages from most popular to least popular. But in reality, Google’s pro-government programmers boost the most pro-government content and “shadow ban” anti-government websites and content.

Thus, when a person types a query about politics, culture or science into Google’s search engine, one gets a prominent list of highly censored content designed to emphasize good things about government and which buries information which is critical of government.

Hillary Clinton, according to Dr. Epstein, probably received 2.6 to 10 million extra votes because of Google’s manipulations in 2016.

Remember that Google’s executive Eric Schmidt met secretly inside the Obama White House hundreds of times. This RAISES THE QUESTION OF WHETHER GOOGLE IS A GOVERNMENT OPERATION OR WORKING FOR THE GOVERNMENT.

Socialist death squads have murdered over 5,000 dissidents in Venezuela

Venezuelan special forces have carried out thousands of extrajudicial killings in the past 18 months and then manipulated crime scenes to make it look as if the victims had been resisting arrest, the United Nations said on Thursday in a report detailing wide-ranging government abuses targeting political opponents.

Special Action Forces described by witnesses as “death squads” killed 5,287 people in 2018 and another 1,569 by mid-May of this year, in what are officially termed by the Venezuelan government “Operations for the Liberation of the People,” UN investigators reported.

Laying out a detailed description of a lawless system of oppression, the report says the actual number of deaths could be much higher.

“Mainstream” news jobs have declined 25 percent in 10 years

Great news! The Hill reports that U.S. newsroom employment has fallen 25 percent in a just a decade. “Mainstream” journalism (meaning journalism which supports government and is supported by government) is in steep decline.

Meanwhile alternative news is flourishing. Consumers have more access to information than ever before.

In 1998 NASA published a graph showing 1934 as the hottest year on record. NASA’s more recent graphs have dropped temps for 1934 by more than one degree Fahrenheit

Data analyst Tony Heller frequently compares current government temp charts with charts published by the same government agencies in the past.

Heller notes that “In 1998, NASA showed 1934 as the hottest year on record in the US, and declining temperatures for the rest of the century. They have since rewritten the data to eliminate the post 1930s cooling. 1998 used to be one degree Fahrenheit cooler than 1934, and now it is warmer.”

GOVERNMENT-SUPPORTED UNIVERSITIES ARE NOW GENERATING MORE JUNK SCIENCE THAN REAL SCIENCE

Eduardo Franco, a professor of Medicine at the Canadian government’s McGill University, reports that “for the first time in history, scientists and scholars worldwide are publishing more fraudulent and flawed studies than legitimate research—maybe ten times more.” See here.

CRISIS IN LEGITIMACY

Almost every modern research university is hopelessly dependent and focused on government (especially, in the U.S., federal government) support.

Professors at major universities are overwhelmingly aligned with pro-government advocacy and socialist ideology. Many professors in the social sciences display Marxist artwork and iconography. They speak the language of government in their daily lives and regard anti-government statements as heresy.

Today’s western adults are likely to have been educated from first grade through graduate school without ever being exposed to any profound anti-government thought. See here.

Another climate hoax collapses: coral reefs do not die in warming water–they thrive

Claims that global warming will kill off the coral reefs of the oceans are found to be untrue. See here.

It turns out coral thrives in warming water and are more likely to die in cold water.

Oh, and the oceans appear to be in a COOLING trend.
