Seeking to avoid debate, climate professors flee to echo chamber BlueSky social media.

“X,” the social media platform formally known as Twitter, was purchased by Elon Musk three years ago. Musk lifted the “moderation” systems which had previously kept climate change discussions

A recent discussion on “The Climate Realism Show” podcast described the increasing isolation of “mainstream” (meaning government supporting, government supported) climate science. It seems more and more “mainstream” climate professors and scientists are fleeing debate–to establish a like-minded community on the new “bluesky” social media platform. See here.

By avoiding contact with people who ask questions or criticize their conclusions, mainstream climate professors are becoming marginalized. While a thriving debate exists on X, proponents of the government’s climate doomsday hysteria are insulating themselves from the debate.

Dr. Judith Curry, a guest on the Climate Realism podcast, said that “mainstream” university climate science is churning out less diverse Ph.D. graduates than ever before. The current cohort of new climate scientists are almost entirely aligned with climate doomsday alarmism, said Curry.
