This will be the 5th annual Rage Against the State. Remember we launched RATS during the tyrannical COVID lockdowns of 2020. The event was originally a 3-day traveling tent revival in Livingston, Belgrade, and Whitehall, Montana. It was designed to openly defy the “authorities.” In the years since, RATS has been held The mission and purpose of RATS is to normalize disparagement, ridicule, mockery, contempt for, and hatred of governments. Every government. Worldwide. At every point in history.
RATS provides a platform for intellectual exploration, communication, education and discovery of antigovernment ideas, information and data. We prize intellectual debate. Accordingly we invite scholars from all disciplines and perspectives to speak and defend their positions.
THIS YEAR WE WILL FOCUS ON SCIENCE AND THE ENVIRONMENT.
We are inviting a host of scientists to debate the government “climate crisis” theory. Thus far several “climate science” luminaries have been invited:
* Professor Paul Lachapelle, a climate doomsday writer and pro-government extremist professor at Montana State University,
* Rachael Cleetus of the Union of Concerned Scientists,
* Michael Mann, professor at U Penn (who has declined),
* Peter McDonough, director of the “climate change studies” program at University of Montana, and
* Seth Borenstein, Associated Press climate reporter who authors relentless “hottest year ever!” and “experts predict climate disaster”-style news stories.
*unknown scientist. We are proud to announce that an unknown science professor has tentatively accepted our invitation to speak. This biologist has actually discovered previously unknown species. He will give a lecture entitled, “Are we really in a 6th mass extinction?” This mystery scientist will dive into the known data regarding species extinction and discovery in the modern world.

Matt Thompson: “The Wrongful Conviction of Jeff Weinhaus.”
Matt Thompson, a crusading civil liberties activist and reporter from Missouri, will recount the harrowing tale of Missouri prisoner Jeff Weinhaus, who was gunned down in a gas station parking lot and sentenced to 30 years in prison.
“Climate Skepticism 101: featuring Dr. Roger Roots, J.D., Ph.D.
Dr. Roots is a noteworthy lawyer, educator, scholar and libertarian activist. He was the first person to break the story that Glacier National Park had quietly removed signs saying that all the Park’s glacier would be melted by 2020. Since 2015, Roots has led an annual field trip at the end of the melt season to check on the Park’s glaciers. Dr. Roots has also attended and reported on the climate debate in various courts, including the Held v. Montana trial, the “Exxon Knew” trial in New York City and the Mann v. Steyn trial in Washington, D.C. Dr. Roots has also visited thermometer stations across the country and explored glaciers in Mexico and Ecuador.
In this lecture, Dr. Roots will describe his own journey and insights into the climate doomsday religion. Dr. Roots loves scientific debate and will be inviting professors to join him in this lively debate. Please bring questions and an inquiring mind.
