Lysander Spooner University will again take to the snowfields of Glacier National Park on Saturday, September 16.
Join us in the lobby of the historic East Glacier Lodge (built by legendary anti-government entrepreneur James J. Hill a century ago) at 8:30 a.m.
September 13 is the average date of first freeze in East Glacier, Montana. The glaciers of Glacier National Park are generally near their low points for the year during the second or third week of September.
In the Fall of 2015, Lysander Spooner University launched a research project aimed at measuring the size and scale of the glaciers at GNP.
The official government websites proclaim that the glaciers in GNP are melting away rapidly. But there is much evidence that the glaciers have been growing since 2012.
